    Aletta (formerly the IIAV) is the home of the renowned collection, the International Archives for the Women's Movement. By collecting and making our heritage available, Aletta aims to inspire, to expand knowledge on the position of women and to promote research in this area.
  • Amazone
    Amazone is the name of the centre which was set up in 1995 as the national contact centre for women and women's organisations, which has now developed to become a resource centre for equality between men and women. Amazone is situated in a beautifully restored building in the heart of Brussels and provides a broad range of services as a meeting centre, conference centre and information centre.
  • AOIFE Association of Institutions for Feminist Education and Research in Europe
    AOIFE is a European association for Women's Studies based on institutional membership. AOIFE is a structure which links institutions dedicated to initiating and supporting feminist education and research in Europe. AOIFE is a forum for collectively addressing and acting on issues concerning Women's Studies by means of co-operation and networking. AOIFE is a platform from which to submit carefully drafted applications for funding from the EU and other international organisations.

  • Athena 3
    ATHENA3, the Advanced Thematic Network of Women’s Studies in Europe, brings together 80 institutes in the interdisciplinary field of Women’s and Gender Studies. Our aim is to unite scholars, teachers, and stakeholders from civil society and public institutions in the field of gender and diversity.
  • Euro Balkan Research Center in Gender Studies
    The Research Center in Gender Studies promotes scientific and academic legitimacy of the subject area of gender studies. In accordance with this mission, the Center conducts scientific and theoretic research in the area, publishes original research studies as well as translations of the most relevant work in the area and organizes events. The aim of the latter is to contribute towards introduction of gender studies in the higher education institutions. Gender studies are research and academic area which is interdisciplinarily structured from the spheres of social sciences and humanities.
  • European Journal of Women's Studies
    The European Journal of Women's Studies is a major international forum for original scholarship at the cutting edge of research in women's studies. The journal's main focus is the complex theoretical and empirical relationship between women and the particular, and diverse, context of Europe. As well as articles, the journal includes overviews on the state of women's studies in different European countries; short topical and polemical pieces; reviews; and conference reports.

  • GJSS
    Graduate Journal of Social Science is an open-access online journal focusing on methodological issues of interdisciplinary relevance. The journal publishes two issues per year, one of which is thematic and one of which groups innovative and instructive papers from all disciplines. GJSS welcomes submissions from both senior and junior academics, thus providing a forum of publication and exchange among different generations engaged in interdisciplinary research.
  • Hilma
    Hilma is a network for all women’s studies units in Finland, their undergraduate and graduate students, teachers and researchers, as well as administrators. Hilma is a window into women’s studies also for those outside the academia. Hilmas core values are quality and productivity. Hilma arranges internet courses in Women’s Studies, provides information on events related to Women’s Studies, such as Ph.D. defences and conferences, lists new publications and provides links to the central www-teaching resources in Finland. Hilma also informs about research projects inside or related to Women’s Studies and about possibilities for postgraduate studies inside the field. Hilma’s resources are provided by the Ministry of Education.

    Documentation Centre and Archives on Feminism, Equal Opportunities and Women's Studies. Since 1978 the RoSa documentation centre has been THE address for information and documentation on women. If you are a member of a women's movement, a student, an investigator or simply interested in feminism, equal opportunities and women's studies in Belgium or any other country, RoSa is the right place to find information.

  • SQS
    SQS: Journal of Queer Studies in Finland is a trilingual publication welcoming articles, commentaries, and reviews written in Finnish, Swedish, and English. While SQS seeks to question existing normativities, including academic ones, it still insists on standards that ensure the validity and reliability of research. Hence SQS functions as a peer-reviewed academic journal. The anonymity of the writers and referees is maintained to ensure the impartiality of the referees’ comments. Articles submitted will be peer reviewed by at least two referees who are experts in the author’s particular field. Texts other than articles and essays — commentaries, reviews, and so forth — are reviewed by the editorial board.
  • The Helsinki Group
    The Group aims to promote the participation and equality of women in the sciences on a Europe-wide basis. They meet twice a year and provide an important forum for dialogue about national policies. The main tasks of the Group are set up in the Mandate voted in 2007.

  • WAVE Network
    WAVE is a network of European women's non-governmental organisations working in the field of combating violence against women and children (women's refuges, counselling centres, SOS hotlines/helplines, organisations focusing on prevention and training, etc.). Currently the Network focuses specifically on violence in the family and in intimate relationships. The Network sets out to promote and strengthen the human rights of women and children in general and to prevent violence against women and children in particular. We fully support the aims of the United Nations, stressing the importance of working towards ending all forms of violence against women and children in public and private life in accordance with the Vienna Declaration, the Declaration on Violence against Women, the Beijing Platform for Beijing Platform for Action and all other related documents.
