Benefits

Individual and institutional members pay an annual fee and receive the benefits from membership, which include:

 

A. Individual members are entitled to:

  • One vote at the ATGENDER Annual General Meeting (elections for the board: March 2011) ;
  • One reduced registration fee for the European Feminist Research Conference;
  • One reduced subscription rate for a number of academic journals. Subject to on-going negotiations with various publishers; these may include the European Journal of Women’s Studies and Feminist Theory;
  • Regular information about the association's activities through the ATGENDER newsletter and website (http://www.atgender.eu);
  • Access to the discussion list / mailing list. 

 

B. Students

Student members are granted the same benefits as individual members.

 

C. Institutional members:

  • Three votes at the ATGENDER Annual General Meeting;
  • Application to host the European Feminist Research Conference (elections for the board March 2011);
  • Three reduced registration fees for the 8th European Feminist Research Conferences (Budapest, 2012);
  • One reduced subscription rate to the partner academic journals;
  • Regular information about the association's activities through the ATGENDER newsletter and website (http://www.atgender.eu) ;
  • Access to the discussion list / mailing list;
  • Aadvertisement of programmes, summer schools, activities on the ATGENDER website.  

 

 

Become a member - four years after the start in May 2009 ATGENDER will be:

  • the one European Association for Gender Research, Education and Documentation; 
  • the most important platform for European cooperation in gender studies;
  • the main contact for the European Commission on gender issues;
  • a broad association for academics, practitioners and institutions in the field of women’s and gender studies, feminist research, women’s rights, gender equality and diversity;
  • an association with 370 members (institutional and individual) in the year 2013.
  • the only association on gender studies affiliated to Utrecht University in The Netherlands;
  • a platform for policyshaping;
  • an influential advisor and recognized dialogue partner for various European and national level official bodies.
  • a key player in developing networks and links to communicate on a wide transnational arena.
