Information about student grants at the 8th European Feminist Research Conference

Friday, 17 February 2012 12:49

ATGENDER as a co-organizer of the 8th EFRC, together with the Department of Gender Studies, CEU, have generously dedicated 5000 Euros for grants for student participation at the conference. In addition to this, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and one of the conference key note speakers, Clare Hemmings, have generously offered financial support for student participation. There was a great interest in these grants and we had to make a selection. However, the organizers of the conference have agreed to offer several forms of reduced fees (for students, for early birds, for regional scholars) for ATGENDER-members who register for the conference. In addition to this, the conference team continue to apply for financial support and hope to be able to offer more student grants in a near future.

If you have received one of the student grants, one condition for being eligible to receive the grant is that you are, or become, an ATGENDER member.

ATGENDER has reduced fees for student membership and it costs 25 Euros to become a member. You can download the membership registration form here: http://www.atgender.eu/index.php/membersmenu/studentoffer.

Student grants can be used to waive the conference fee and/or for free accommodation during the conference. More information about this will soon be published at the conference website.

ATGENDER Background

The professional association ATGENDER has been founded in September 2009 by WISE, AOIFE and ATHENA3. We strive to foster an exchange and cooperation between the academic community and women’s organisations, women’s documentation centers and libraries, policymakers and NGOs in the field of women’s rights, gender equality and diversity, and ambassadors for diversity in profit and non-profit organizations.
